Charming set of 19th Century petanque or boules, carved with numbers to prevent confusion during the game, the carver has switched from roman numeral to numeric during the process adding a quirky touch. dry surface, 8 playing balls one wooden cochon and one stone. Original box in remarkable condition, with minor worm damage. Each playing ball measures 10cm diametre. France Circa 1880.
