Naive Oil on Canvas of the SS President. Owned by the British and American Steam Navigation Company, Built by Curling and Young of London. Her maiden voyage was the 1 Aug 1840, at that point she was the largest passenger ship in the World, she was lost at Sea March 1841. Wonderfully primitive with a keen attention to detail. Early 20th Century. Fully Restored and cleaned.
